About the position
In your role as Account Manager, you always know how to get a foot in the door with relevant players in the market. You are an initiator, a go-getter and you get energy from putting Het Packhuys even stronger on the map. You have good communication skills and understand that existing relations with Het Packhuys are valuable. After all, in many cases you are the first point of contact.
Briefly:
- You are commercial and driven. You get excited about acquiring new customers in the food industry, among others.
- You will approach prospects, listen to what they are looking for and link this to the extensive capabilities of dosing, weighing and packaging machines that Het Packhuys offers.
- You are at home with every customer and know exactly what is going on. In addition, you are someone who knows how to open doors that remain closed to others.
- You produce quotations and know how to convert them into orders.
You maintain and expand cooperation with existing customers. - You are in close contact with machine suppliers (international) and visit them on a regular basis.
- You are the intermediary between the client and the internal departments and maintain contacts at various levels within your own organization and that of the client.
- You keep yourself informed of all relevant market and/or customer information.
- You will attend and/or participate in Trade fairs and industry networking events.
About you
You are a commercial topper and we don't have to explain anything about sales to you. You are eager to learn, so you can master any knowledge that is still missing. You want to know all the ins and outs of every customer and show genuine interest. In this way you ensure a good relationship with the company. It is important that you convey your enthusiasm and convince the customer.
It is also very important that you can interact well with the different teams within the company. Not only the appearance to the customers is important, the team must also be aware of the agreements made between you and the customer.
Within Het Packhuys, we are particularly interested in you as a person. Come by for a cup of coffee. During a personal conversation we will already get to know a lot about each other.
In a nutshell. You possess:
- A mbo+ / hbo working and thinking level, preferably in a technical / commercial direction;
- You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in capital equipment sales (in the packaging industry is a plus);
- You have good listening skills, are solution-oriented, resourceful & goal-oriented;
- You are communicatively strong and easily switch between various levels in an organization;
- You are able to keep several balls in the air at once;
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, German is an advantage;
- Regular travel abroad is not a problem for you.
